Good Morning Tinker. Tinker we fished a re-fish last weekend, had a great time, we caught 23 stripers, between the 5 of us, limits would have been great, but that's how it goes. We fished with Mike, he worked hard and put us on some fish. We thought we were fishing with Roger, but apparently he was ill. All around we enjoyed the trip, your boats and equipment are top of the line, being an avid fisherman on my own, yourself and staff know what you are doing, I've learned a lot both times I have been out with your crew. I will be back.

Captain "Little David" was awesome, he is not only a great guide, but a fishing warrior. You could tell he was not going to be happy unless everyone got there 2 over 20" fish. When my daughter and her friend got home they went from house to house in the neighborhood telling all there friends about fishing with "Little David" and what they refer to as his secret fishing stick. Please thank him again for me and my group. The weather did not cooperate but that did not stop Captain "Little Dave" from making sure a great time was had by all.   Dear Mr. Lyons, I am very disappointed and upset that you and your son did not enjoy your fishing trip with us. I am really confused about how to answer this type of feedback. I have never received anything exactly like it in the 23+ years I have operated my guide service. I can only add answers to your comments in your original email under each comment. 

Mr. Toney, Even though no one asked i wanted to give you some feedback. 
  The drawing slips that customers fill out at the boathouse have a line at the bottom of the slip that says, Please put any comments about the trip or guide on back. I send out an email twice a year asking for feedback from all of my clients. These feedbacks are posted on my website. I always respond to negative feedback. All feedback is appreciated.

I wasn't very happy after my fishing trip Saturday morning. I booked with your company because of a referal and a pamplet that gave me a very different impression of your service. My friends spent about six hours on the lake. 
  I sure would like to know the names of the folks that referred my company to you.

They thought their guide, Bud Man, was great. 
  The only person that works for me called "Bud Man" is not a guide and has never guided anyone. He takes care of all my maintenance and is great at that.

The two of them caught their and the guides limit of striper, 
  September 1, 2003 Texas Parks & Wildlife implemented a new law that changed the limit for guided fishing trips. The guide no longer has a limit. Any fish the guide lands counts against the customer's limit. The new rule is a boat limit consisting of ten stripers with only two of them twenty inches or longer per paying customer.

  When the fishing gets slow or the bite stops, a good guide will move and find fish feeding elsewhere when possible. Also, he will not leave feeding fish unless a customer request it.

  You and your son caught the only limit of stripers out of the 11 guided trips that my company had on the lake that day. Fishing was very tough that particular day.

but using 5 or more rods at a time. 
  Fishing multiple rods is common procedure when fishing with a guide for striper using live bait. If you had wanted to fish with fewer rods, you could have told your guide and I feel sure he would have accommodated you. Several of my clients like to fish with artificial lures and use only one rod each. These arrangements are made when the trip is scheduled. This type fishing is more strenuous and there is no guarantee you will catch fish. Most guides had rather lure fish so they don't have to catch live shad.

We felt hurried and even a little bullied to get our limit and get off the lake. 
Most guides work under the assumption that the customer wants to catch a limit.

Mike obviously knows a good spot, it was the only one we saw. 
  Mike is an experienced guide. He knew how hard fishing was that day and knew moving to another spot would be a mistake when all the other guides were having a hard time finding fish.

We were on the lake less than two hours. 
  Communicating with your guide, letting him know what you wanted would have got you more time on the lake. You could have caught and released all fish if you had wanted to. Your guide needed to know that you did not care if you kept a limit or not.

We were not allowed to release the smaller fish and try for larger. 
  You and your son's limit only include two stripers each twenty inches or longer. You are allowed to release stripers as long as they are not bleeding and will live when released. 

As you can see from the photo at least a third were small.
  Please look at the pictures of the other boats catches for that day. Yours were larger and the only limit brought to the boathouse out of eleven boats. The pictures can be seen at http://home.texoma.net/~tinker/fishpics04/fishpics06.html  If there are not eleven photos, the guide or customers made the decision not to photograph their catch. 

It was not a fun, worthwhile experience and i will not recommend your service to anyone else.

WONDERFUL! We came in to fish June 24th and 25th. A great trip began with wonderful directions bringing us to your home and to the dock. Accommodations were clean and presentable, serves the purpose intended for! Only thing that would make it better would be to be located on the water. Being allowed to use your boathouse/dock for fishing off of while not out with the guide was greatly appreciated! We went out with David on Thursday afternoon to watch him catch bait, impressive enough but was even more impressed when we went out with him Friday morning and he had no problem making sure we caught fish.

I was up there fishing with 3 other friends of mine on or about April 29th. Our guide was Roger. I had never been striper fishing before, but let me tell ya'll this redneck, polish coon ass had the time of my life as fishing goes. I plan on coming back with a friend and his 2 sons the weekend of July 10th and 11th. His name is Bob Hamilton. Again, thanks for all the fun. I will tell everybody I know and some of those I don't that will listen about ya'll. Cuz as far as I'm concerned ya'll are the best. Oh, and let me not forget the guide, big Rog, AKA Roger.

We fished 3 boats for my bachelor party on May 15th. The boat I was in was with Rex Bridges. He is one hell of a guy and guide. We absolutely enjoyed our afternoon with him. The boat and equipment was great and we had no problems. Although we didn’t stay at your place we rented some cabins down at Little Mineral Marina. The only thing I can think that could be done to improve the trips would be Tinker supplying the beer and some catch and release after our limits were caught. When we come back (it will be soon) we would like to stay at your place and wouldn’t want to fish with anyone except Rex. Tell him Jimmye, Jimmye, Sr., Matt and Don said hi.
