October fishing is starting out with a bang. We are only on the third day and have fished 34 people and brought in 340 stripers up to 12 lbs. The lake temperature is setting at 78 degrees and the weather is fantastic for fishing.

We had so much fun last year with our October afternoon special that we decided to do it again. So here it is:

OCTOBER AFTERNOON SPECIAL:

Fish Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday afternoon at 2:30 PM, no room or guarantee, 3 fishermen in a boat for $110.00; 4 fishermen in a boat for $400.00; 5 fishermen for $450.00 and 6 fishermen for $ 480.00.

We are leaving the boathouse at 7:00 AM for our morning trips and 2:00 PM for the afternoon trips. Limits of stripers have been caught on either trip. Try your luck at the boathouse for catfish while your stripers are being cleaned.

We had a total of 45 trips with a total of 160 people that brought 1436 fish to the cleaning table in September. September 6th Craig Sommerfeldt had a party of 10 and they brought 100 stripers to 6 lbs to the cleaning table. On September 18th & 19th Kem Carr brought 8 people on the first day and 6 people on the second day. They brought in 140 stripers to 11 lbs for their two day total. Kenny Freeman with Kem’s group not only caught the 11 lb striper but also a 60 lb blue catfish. September 20th John Powell and 6 friends brought in 70 stripers to 8 lbs. Barbra Cogdill and 6 ladies from Restoration Church brought 65 stripers to 5 lbs to the cleaning table on September 20th. Way to go ladies. Joe Wood and 8 members of Harrah Church came on September 27th. They brought in 80 stripers to 8 lbs. That afternoon Tim Burchfield and friend just came to catch and release. Our guides furnish tackle, bait and friendly instruction for you. Everything is furnished except food, drinks, licenses and rain gear. Tinker's private boathouses are always available for our guests to fish for catfish, striper, perch, crappie and bass before or after the guided trip.

Our bedrooms are comfortable, clean and fully furnished with private entrances and baths. All types of outside cooking facilities are available for your use. The game room has pool, card and domino tables, plus dart boards, washer boards, stereo and TVs with DVD, CD, VCR and surround sound.
