HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF OUR GREAT FRIENDS AND CUSTOMERS!!!!! |

November 14, 2007 With the water temperatures staying in the 80’s for so long the good fall fishing is expected to last into December. The biologists are predicting Lake Texoma to have more 18” to 24” striper than in the last ten years. With each catch brought in we are seeing bigger and better fish. Catfish are starting to bite at the boathouse. Our fishermen have caught blue cats ranging from 12 to 30 lbs in the last two weeks. The forecast for the next week is for lows in the low 50’s and highs in the low 70’s. It will be partly cloudy with 10 to 15 MPH southerly winds. Thursday and Friday will be a few degrees cooler with northerly winds starting Wednesday afternoon changing to the south by Friday. This will make the weekend temperatures warmer. We had 188 fishermen since the first of November. They brought a total of 1685 stripers to the cleaning table. During October 382 fishermen brought 3,281 stripers to the cleaning table. Many stripers were caught and released. You can see the pictures of the fish caught during October and the first 13 days of November on www.tinker.net. We are leaving the dock as early as 7:00 AM for our morning trips. It is getting dark by 6:00 PM. With the shorter daylight hours our afternoon trips have been leaving around 1:00 PM. The stripers seem to be feeding better later in the day. The bottom line is that you can depart early or late and get a trip in and catch limits of stripers. The early morning bite is preferred by most hardcore fishermen. The late bite is super during the full moon and customers always produce larger stripers. As of 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 the water pool level was 616.81feet. The normal annual pool level is 617 feet. The water temperature is 67 degrees. The Corps of Engineers is not generating at this time. Sunrise this morning was 6:57 AM and sunset will be at 5:24 PM. There are 11 hours and 19 minutes of visible light. Yesterday’s low was 67 degrees and the high was 82 degrees. Our guides furnish tackle, bait and friendly instruction for you. Everything is furnished except food, drinks, licenses and rain gear. Tinker’s private boathouses are always available for our guests to fish for catfish, striper, perch, crappie and bass before or after the guided trip Our bedrooms are comfortable, clean and fully furnished with private entrances and baths.
