October 11, 2007 As a valued customer and friend you are invited back to fish the best two months in 2007 for stripers. The summer flood has kept our water temperatures in the 80’s thru September which will keep the stripers feeding thru December. We enjoyed fishing you in the past and would like to see you again. All our weekend morning trips and rooms are booked. We are offering you an afternoon trip starting at 2:30PM for 3 or more at $100.00 per fisherman with no lodging. Come and fish an afternoon, Monday thru Thursday, with no lodging for 4 or more at $80.00 per fisherman. The forecast for the next week is for lows in the lower 60’s and highs in the lower 80’s. It will be partly cloudy with 5 to 15 MPH Easterly wind till Friday which will change to the south by the weekend with a slight chance of showers the first part of the week. The weather is going to be great for striper fishing. We had 267 fishermen in September. They brought a total of 2571 stripers to the cleaning table. Since the first of October 97 fishermen have brought 898 stripers to the cleaning table. Many stripers were caught and released. Several 10 to 12 pound stripers have been caught on these trips. You can see the pictures of the fish caught thru September and the first 11 days of October on www.tinker.net. We are leaving the dock as early as 7:00 AM for our morning trips. The early morning bite is preferred by most hardcore fishermen. The stripers seem to be feeding better later in the day. The bottom line is that you can depart early or late and get a trip in and catch limits of stripers. The late bite has been producing larger stripers. As of 8:00 AM, Wednesday, October, 10 the water pool level was 617.11 feet; the water temperature is 80 degrees. The Corps of Engineers is generating 1:00PM to 6:00PM. Water release during generation is 11,000 cubic feet per second. Sunrise this morning was 7:28 AM and sunset will be at 6:58 PM. There are 11 hours and 30 minutes of visible light. Yesterday’s low was 53 degrees and the high was 81 degrees. Our guides furnish tackle, bait and friendly instruction for you. Everything is furnished except food, drinks, licenses and rain gear. Tinker’s private boathouses are always available for our guests to fish for catfish, striper, perch, crappie and bass before or after the guided trip Our bedrooms are comfortable, clean and fully furnished with private entrances and baths.
