The water pool level is currently at 617.44 feet, normal annual pool level is 617 feet. The water temperature is 78 degrees. This is 14 degrees warmer since May 6. The water is clear. The generating schedule is for 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM today and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM thru Sunday. Sunrise this morning was 6:15 AM and sunset will be at 8:36 PM. There are 15 hours and 18 minutes of visible light. The moon will be full on June 11th.

The morning started out at 72 degrees and there were clear skies with a 10 MPH SSE wind. The high for today is expected to be 99 degrees. The forecast for the next few days is lows in the lower 70’s and highs in the upper 90’s with south winds. There is no precipitation forecast for the next seven days.

Fishing was at its best during May. We had a lot of rain on our watershed during May. Stripers seem to love rising water and always feed best when the lake is coming up. Limits were being caught on practically every trip. We fished 564 fishermen in May and cleaned 5,154 stripers. This does not include the stripers that were caught and released. Thru yesterday we have fished 177 fishermen in June and cleaned 1,489 stripers. There were many twenty inch plus stripers caught and released this month. The proof is in the pictures at www.tinker.net Pictures for May are on the website and the June pictures should be up by Saturday. They have been sent to our webmaster.

If the weather goes as forecast this week, it should be a great time to enjoy the lake and the topwater action is getting better. We are seeing many fish bust the water. Most of them are fourteen to seventeen inch stripers. If you get lucky and find the larger stripers feeding on surfacing shad they will eat up a topwater lure.

Our guides furnish tackle, bait and friendly instruction for you. Tinker’s private boathouses are always available for our customers to fish for catfish, striper, perch, crappie and bass before or after the guided trip. Everything is furnished except food, drinks, licenses and rain gear

Our rooms are comfortable, clean and fully furnished with private baths. All types of outside cooking facilities are available for your use. The game room has pool, card and domino tables, plus dart boards, washer boards, stereo and TVs with DVD, CD, VCR and surround sound.

We hired two more experienced guides and purchased two more boats in May. We also have a new boat scheduled for delivery in June. We have been training another guide that has fished the lake since he was a teenager. He will be ready to start guiding this fall.
