The water pool level is currently at 616.76 feet, normal annual pool level is 617 feet. The water temperature is 64 degrees and is slightly stained. The generating schedule is for 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM thru Sunday. Sunrise this morning was 6:33 AM and sunset will be at 8:13 PM. There are 14 hours and 34 minutes of visible light. The moon will be full on May 13th.

The morning started out with heavy rain. Just before our trips were scheduled to depart, the rain stopped. The temperature was 62 degrees at 7:00 AM with an 11 mph east wind. The high for today is expected to be 71 degrees. The forecast for the next few days is a low in the 60’s and a high in the upper 70’s. There is a slight chance of scattered precipitation for Monday though Sunday.

The striper spawn is over. The stripers are in a feeding frenzy. Fishing is at its best right now. Stripers seem to love rising water and always feed best when the lake is coming up. Limits are being caught on practically every trip. The proof is in the pictures at www.tinker.net The pictures for April 18 thru today should be on the website by Monday afternoon. They have been sent to our webmaster.

If the weather goes as forecast this week, it should be excellent striper fishing and the topwater action is getting better. We aren’t seeing many fish bust the water but when they are in 2 to 3 feet of water feeding on the spawning shad they will eat up a topwater lure.

Our guides furnish tackle, bait and friendly instruction for you. Tinker’s private boathouses are always available for our customers to fish for catfish, striper, perch, crappie and bass before or after the guided trip. Everything is furnished except food, drinks, licenses and rain gear

Our rooms are comfortable, clean and fully furnished with private baths. All types of outside cooking facilities are available for your use. The game room has pool, card and domino tables, plus dart boards, washer boards, stereo and TVs with DVD, CD, VCR and surround sound.
