Brenda, Allan, me and all our guides want to send a special thanks to all of our wonderful customers for making 2004 the best year ever for Tinker’s Striper Guide Service.

We started the New Year on Lake Texoma with a warm 65 degrees at 7:00 AM.  It was cloudy with a 10 mph SSE wind.  Sunrise was at 7:31. After 9 hours and 58 minutes of visible daylight the sun will set a 5:29.

The forecast is for a high of 70 degrees and cloudy with a 10 to 20 mph SSE wind.  There is a chance of showers Sunday thru noon on Wednesday.  Wednesday afternoon thru the weekend is forecast to be partly cloudy with unusually warm temperatures.

This year starts with excellent striper and blue cat fishing lake conditions.  The water pool level is 617.47, which is very close to the normal annual pool level.  The water temperature is holding at 50 degrees and clear to four feet.  The generating schedule is for one unit twenty-four hours each day.  The moon will be full on January 26th

Each of the last four years has produced more and more ten pound plus fish by our anglers.  Our customers have caught several silversides ranging between twenty-six and thirty pounds in the last four years.  The goal for this year is a thirty-six pound striper, which would be a new lake record.

Our boats have been departing the boathouse between 7:00 and 10:00 am.  Afternoons have been super for both striper and catfish.  Many of our anglers prefer later departures when the temperature is much more pleasant.  You will be on the lake late when fishing in the afternoon.  Make plans to stay overnight in our free guestrooms and enjoy the new game room.

We will be participating in the Kansas City Boat Show at Bartle Hall January 4-9.
