December 9, 2004.  Water pool level is 618.54.  The normal annual pool level is 617 feet.  Water temperature is 60 degrees.  Water clarity is clear to two feet on the main body of the lake and muddy on the north and west ends.  The generating schedule is for one unit 24 hours.  Sunrise was 7:20 am and sunset will be 5:18 pm.  There are 10 hours and 53 minutes of visible light during the day.  The moon will be full on December 26th.  The temperature was 50 degrees at 7:00 am.  The high for yesterday was 62 degrees.  Texoma’s forecast for Friday thru Sunday is for lows in the upper 40s and highs in the 60s with a 10 to 15 mph NW wind.  There is no rain in the forecast.  The water temperature has dropped two degrees and the lake level has come up six inches since my last report.

Chet Beckley, Kriss Schroeder and Jim Roberts flew there two homemade airplanes from Colby, Kansas to Grayson County Airport to enjoy a two day fishing adventure with Tinker’s Striper Guide Service.  Their first day of fishing produced a thirty fish limit of excellent Texoma stripers fishing with guide Roger Hill.  They will fish again tomorrow before flying back to Kansas.

Stripers feed great when the lake is cooling and on the rise.  Afternoons have been super for both striper and catfish.  Many of our anglers prefer afternoons when the temperature is much more pleasant than early in the morning.  You will be on the lake late when fishing an afternoon trip.  Make plans to stay overnight in our free guestrooms and enjoy the new game room.
