Lake Texoma Fishing Report
Thursday, September 4, 2003
Water pool level: 614.10, normal annual
pool level is 617 feet.
Water temperature: 81 degrees. Water
clarity: clear.
Generating Schedule: one unit 2 PM to 8
PM.
The cloudy skis, light rain and fifteen degree cooler temperatures have
really turned the stripers on. Our four degree drop in lake water
temperature has really helped. The outlook for September fishing
is above average.
Troy Nielson from Herington, KS fished Saturday and Sunday with guide Roger
Hill. On Saturday Troy said he and Roger had to throw back several
stripers over twenty inches before they caught a limit. Sunday they
caught twenty inch+ stripers and plenty of seventeen to nineteen inch fish
early before the rain started.
Chris Root and family from Bristow, OK fished Monday in the rain with Roger.
They brought in 21 stripers to six pounds. Live shad was the best
bait fishing in thirty-five to forty-five feet of water.
