Lake Texoma Fishing Report

Friday, 21 Jun 2002

The lake elevation is 619.58, water temperature is 77 degrees and clear.

The Corps is only generating on one unit today from 5pm till 10 pm.  No generation is scheduled for the weekend.  With the lake elevation high and water temperature cool, July and August fishing will be great until the water temperature gets too hot for the silversides.  The topwater and slab fishing will get good in Striper Alley.

On Wednesday, June 19th Captain Joe Grigar took Doug Peterson and his two guests out at daylight.  They returned to the dock around noon with 23 stripers, the largest weighing a little over 12 pounds, and one four pound blue catfish.  They had to release three big stripers because of the two fish twenty inches or longer per fisherman limit. What a problem to have!!  The guys are already planning another trip to bring their wives.

Practice safe boating and have a wonderful day on the lake.
