| Dateline: Lake
Texoma Wednesday, July 25, 2001
Lake level: 615.07. Water Temperature: 84 degrees. Water clarity: Clear. Generation: 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Floodgates: Closed. Weather: low 75 / high 96 / sunny with a light southwest wind. Fishing time: 6:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. Captain Joe Grigar left the dock with the Ricky Shinn party of three just before daylight. All of the rods had ounce and a half chartreuse and white slabs tied on. The action started about fifteen minutes later just off TI point. Everyone dropped their slabs to the bottom in about 45’ of water and started reeling them up as fast as possible. Three silversides were on immediately. With four and five fish on at a time, the group had boated thirty fish before 8:00 a.m. After that first frenzy of feeding stripers, the next hour only produced five more fish and the happy crew called it a day. The summer heat is no reason to keep you off the water. Always get an early start, use sunscreen and drink plenty of water before you get thirsty and enjoy a great day of striper fishing. You should be able to catch a limit before it gets too hot. Tinker’s Striper Guide Service,
